IHC Merwede Shipyard facilities

The IHC Offshore & Marine location Krimpen aan den IJssel includes the largest covered slipway in Europe. Its crane capacity allows very efficient blockbuilding, which facilitates short slipway periods.

The IHC Offshore & Marine location Hardinxveld-Giessendam also includes a covered slipway with large crane capacity. The yard adheres to a high-standard primary process, due to regular work for the oil & gas industry.

The covered slipway of IHC Beaver Dredgers in Sliedrecht is part of a complex, dedicated to the building of cutter suction dredgers up to ca. 16,000 kW. It has also a proven track record of building hopper dredgers.

The Verenigde Scheepswerf Heusden (VSH) includes an integrated steelworks, panel- and section hall. The VSH yard usually contributes sections and large blocks to the other IHC Merwede shipyards, but is also used for the building of vessels.
